Tavis Smiley
Hi. Just a note saying Thank You for ditching The Tavis Smiley show. I have complained to you about that show more than once and I am glad that it is gone. Smiley's veiled racism as well as his unveiled liberal political preferences will not be missed.
I have listened twice now to News and Notes and find it a welcome replacement.

Not only does he shout down opposing views, but I have heard him on numerous occasions blatently plagiarize interviews done by someone else. He would simply splice the guest's answers into his own questions!!
That is why he was *fired* from the BET. For plagiarism.
Apparently, not very many people learned from the Jayson Blair scandal at the NY Times.

WMUB is leaving the above comment in place. Since it is anonymous, we cannot reply to the sender. Plagiarism is a serious charge. If we felt there were any merit to it, it would warrant a review of our decision to carry The Tavis Smiley Show. However, we are not aware of any credible charge of plagiarism against Tavis. An anonymous, unsourced note is not a credible charge.
